| Kanna was born in London to a mother who was a high ranking prostitute in Japan and a father that was a vice admiral in the royal navy. No matter where he lived, England or Japan, he would always get picked on by the other kids. In Japan it was for his hair color and being half English, in England it was because he was half Japanese. He was always being looked up on as some sort of mutt. One day His mother and father abandoned him. That was the day he lost his right eye while chasing after their carriage when it kicked up a rock. A few years later, he was given the task of being Katsu Kaishu's bodyguard by H.S. Parkes. During this time he came across Akizuki Yojiro, a seventeen year old man who happened to be the chosen one to seal the Lord's Head, otherwise known as the Eternal Assassin. They quickly became rivals. He would also come across Kakunojo Yuyama, a young actress and leader of a traveling theader group. Usually he would indirectly protect her from the shadows, usually giving Akizuki time to grab her. Kanna also sees her as his mother. It is hard to tell if he just has a mommy complex and a crush on her or just a mommy complex. Later Kanna took up a civilian job in an unofficial group backed by Parkes. Kanna became instructor/trainer of sorts, he also fought along side them. One day Rook, one of the members, was killed by the head. Later that night on the deck he came across Queen, who was drowning her depression in a bottle of wine. He had no idea that Rook was her twin brother. He told her that he didn't feel any pain over what happened when he was a kid. Later that night they made out because Queen wanted to share their pain. The group decided to pull off one last mission, a kamikaze mission and attempt to assassinate Enomoto and destroy the Lord's head and get revenge on Rook's death. One by one they fell until Queen and Kanna were the only ones left. As a demonstration of the power of the Lord's Head, Enomoto basically brain washed Kanna into killing the now scared off Queen. After he realized what he did he broke down and cried. Kanna plays the dark and brooding card. Most of the time he's pensive, remembering the time his mother abandoned him, or standing in the background. When he does speak, his tone rarely changes. As said, he basically considers himself dead to the world, and doesn't feel pain. He's a skilled fighter and gunman and his reflexes are quick. |
